Baby Rock Flower Anemones

I have a tank full of baby RFAs. I am selling all multicolor ones for $30 and single color for $10. I will give discounts if you buy multiples. I live in the San Antonio, TX area. Pickup only. See video link below.

How did you get them to propagate? Or did you just buy a bunch of them?

thats so awesome, lucky!

Thanks. There are some really cool looking ones.

Amazing tank!

Thanks. I am going bare bottom after I sell the RFAs to fix the algae problem. Tank has been set up for almost 2.5 years.

I didn't do anything special. I feed each night by dumping in some cut up LRS reef frenzy. Here is a picture of the mother having on batch. I think she probably had 3-5 batches over a few days.

Did u have a few different ones for them to spawn? Or was it done all by the one main one

I had two in the tank that were right next to each other. There were also no fish in the tank at the time. My guess is most fish would eat the babies as they were being released.

Any chance of Shipping ?

Sod Buster, thanks for hooking me into this!

MockandRoll, very cool that you've had babies. Any idea how many you have in total?
I ask because I've had 3 spawns and I've always ended up with about 12 to 15 babies. But as you stated, I have fish, specifically a six line wrasse, and I suspect many of my babies get eaten before they get a chance to settle down and get attached. @MockandRoll

I would buy 5-6 if you ship
I would buy 10 if you ship
As of now I am not planning on shipping. My current plan is to sell a few locally then let the rest grow out and see what happens.

Thanks

My estimate is around 200. I have about 125 on the sandbed and the rest are scattered throughout the rock work.

Beautiful babies. I had 2 in my 29g and they spawned so badly, my water became cloudy and the fish were eating as they were spawning. They produced no babies, probably same sex. I now have an 80g and 6 adults but I’ve missed spawning events. I thought I had a mejano and was about to zap it with Aptasia X. I turned off all flow and noticed about 35 and realized they were baby RFA, I have picked them off the sand and others are scattered on the rock work. I have 15 fish in my tank and 7 are wrasse, and almost all the babies are accounted for.

200!!! Seriously? All from just one spawning event?

I need to get a RFA only tank started! I have to assume the fish are eating most of the babies when they are being ejected by the female.

I have 4 or 5 full adults that could spawn. So far I think it's only been the 2 biggest and they have had 3 rounds of babies. One of which is a nice rainbow RFA. I have 3 to 5 more that are getting close to being big enough. I just bought one at RAP in Orlando that is a different rainbow and has white stripes around the outside rim going about halfway in toward the mouth. I'm looking forward to that one being a parent!

Beautiful tank!

Thank you. I need to get the algae problem on the sandbed fixed and it will be looking better.

Have you tried to get them off the rock yet? I want to start moving the RFA that are next to some of my colonies but haven't decided on a method yet. I was thinking of touching the feet with an ice cube or something like that to try and get them to release.

There are at least 200. There are a few patches on the rock work were there are 20-30 huddled together. I will try and get some better pics of this and of the parents.

The colors don't appear to be random. I see a mixture of ones that look exactly like both parents, some with a combination of the parents (green body/red skirt) and some that are single colored (green & orange). Neither parent is single colored. I have also see two white ones and 1 two faced (half green/half orange).
