That is an interesting question, and might even vary tank to tank depending on what species of bacteria each tank gets when using any particular carbon source, and the susceptibility of all of the possible species to hydrogen peroxide damage.

No new formations of cyano or dinos, the GHA still has a few little spots that are dying back.
All livestock seem to be happy and healthy including corals.
Removed GFO today

Even the gorgonia is still happy and well!
This is a great achievement

My biggest worry with starting peroxide is my gorg specific tank and my sponges. Any thoughts?

I do know gorgonias are sensitive animals and personality thought Cowboys may suffer.
But to my amazement it actually had better polyp extension and growth.
If I had a tank full of them I would be hesitant but the great thing about h2o2 is the short lifespan.
If things don't look good stop dosing as in 12 hours it will be gone. That's the beauty of this.
My sponges had no reactions in the past.
I tested h2o2 last fall on a sponge. It turned the peroxide blue and I thought it was a goner. Still alive today

If you will take a look at the gorg in the picture on page 8 that is how my gorgi has looked for months it was losing tissue and big parts of it refused to give any PE. Even by the end of the first day of treatment it was already starting to show all of its polyps again, now jump forward and you can see the lite color of the body and full PE. instead of the dark purple in which it was static no growth and losing tissue. I am personally very happy with the results of this experiment. My water went from cloudy to crystal clear you can view from the side and see clearly through the 6' of water.

Thanks. I am fighting a bit of cyno and this would be a great solution as antibiotics made my sponges white. They came back, but took a long time.

I have over 13 types of gorgs and some nps, but maybe I can be an example. I have around 260g of water, so maybe 26ml per day or twice per day? I was reading it should be night.

H2O2 has interesting reactions to light.
This is where I state to dose every 12 hours as light effects oxidizing "power" (can't think of the right term)
Even when I was using it for algae study the first few days is every 24 hours to watch tank reaction.

Would dosing h202 lower calcium and magnesium? I went to my lfs and had my water tested. Calcium result was 280 and magnesium 1200. It's never been that low.

I do not see any direct relationship to those elements from h2o2
H2O2 is primarily targeting organic material

I have not seen any huge drop in my Ca or my Mg stayed pretty stable.

No, it will not alter those.

How long has it been since you tested your water? What salt mix are you using? And do you dose anything or use a reactor? Hawain I ask this because I have been using H2O2 for over a week with no ill effects on my water quality my dosing have not changed also what is you Dkh at.

Water looks amazing algae is still dieing off,
Cyano seems to be completely dead the few spots that you cannot see in the picture are slowly going away. All livestock healthy and eating great no signs of discomfort.

It was a single does to a high flow area. I've lost 5 fish now what looks to be velvet. On a side note I had 1 emerald crap who I also found dead. Snails are fine.

@Hawain_Rob I believe that this chemistry question of the day can explain why i asked the questions that I did about your water quality. It is very possible that your LFS tested your water properly as there are factors that can effect your CA. As randy stated prior that H2O2 would not effect your CA and MG I have been searching for an answer that could help you with that question. @Randy Holmes-Farley if there is a better question or paper that could explain this better it would be greatly appreciated.
