Still staying super clean other than the dead hair algae thats still processing out of the tank. Fish inverts and coral are still showing no signs of discomfort.

What we're the first signs of effects on the green hair that you noticed from the h2o2?

Ok so when dosing every 12 do you dose in the evening at lights out and then again in the AM before lights on? Just curious as it has been mentioned to dose when lights are out to expand the half-life of the h202? I haven't started yet but am seriously considering.

I've read that (some?) corals harbor beneficial cyanos in their bellies that help them to fix nitrogen....any thoughts on this?
Just An Anecdote: I seemed witness stress side effects when I was attempting h2o2 treatment (for what I've concluded is "encrusting golden diatoms")...a little polyp bailout on a favia was the most extreme reaction...a very stressed plating hydnophora did not respond well and appears like he's going to recede into oblivion rather than stage a recovery....more general was just a loss of vitatlity....mostly judging by looks of course. Other than noted exceptions, things seem to be recovering...

I am working hard to understand cyanobacteria and it's life process.
As for the shrimp I can not come to a conclusion as no testing has been done with that species of mantis. So far for any shrimp loss I have seen its due to human error. The dilution of h2o2 is key.
For the color difference in cyanobacteria this is correct. Once the thylakoids are set in color that will be the color for the chain. I have been able to produce red, purple, green cyanobacteria based on lighting. (Have not been able to get the blue green yet)
I am more than willing to identify any member samples for positive identification at no charge

I know i had blue green cyano, or at least what I ID'd as Cyano, for a long time but mostly what i see now is red and green. I can check and see if i still have any blue green though if you are interested.

I must have some "super" cyano. Here are some pics 7 days apart. My cyano is actually growing although I am feeding twice a day. I also probably killed my skunk shrimp this morning when I dosed.

That has to be one of the most interesting colors I have seen.

I am a little too far ahead for test tanks but at the same time I want to help and keep progress updates.

Don't run a full light schedule with heavy whites or reds. If you normally run lights 11-12 hrs try 5-6 hrs. Cover front of tank during day if lots of natural lights come through. Try that for a few days as that was he difference maker for me.
