I found this on my sand today under my rics. I can't tell what it is. It fluoresces under blues.

dang. I want my rics to start propagating. Curses! lol
As far as my mushroom intelligence delves into other species besides discosoma, ive never looked into how ricordea FL. Reproduces.

They have some of the most coolest patterns and growth characteristics with the multiple mouths in one formation......

They are truly a mystery to me thus far.

New goal.....ricordea FL. garden for observation over the next 10 years

I reserve the right to change my answer. I have baby yummas. I'll compare when I get home. I'll post pics

Probably a ball tip... though a few months ago I had a little thing with tentacles that I found on a piece of rubble on the sand. Many people said it was a majano or ball tip anenmone, but I mounted it to a frag plug anyway to see... turned out it was a baby from my NYKnick torch! So the lesson here is, mount it to a plug and see if it grows, haha.

Top picture was the day I found it and glued it to a plug (it was TINY), bottom is 3 months later.

I love finding money in the sand. (Metal detecting beaches)

But its the best when you truly find a gold nugget!!!

Good job dad!

That little frag doesn't look like a ball or mojo

Its a ball anemone and although referred to as an anemone due to the structure of the little balls in appearance is actually a reef safe Mushroom which is easy to feed and care for and come in a few cool colors

I took it out and it's very mucus-y. It grabbed a bunch of substrate thats hard to take off because if it. that strand is just mucus.

It does look neat under the blues. It has the same glow colors as my ricordeas but not as dense.
