Battery backup solution for EFlux wave pumps?

What did you decide to do?

Went with an oxygentator and never have to worry about it again [emoji28]. I have a standard UPS that runs my return which would last long enough to transfer the oxygentator to the DT in the event of an outage.

Hi there - is there a ready to use battery backup solution that works with the eflux wave pumps? BRS said it’s not compatible with the ice cap and I really need to get something in the event there is a power outage.

I tried looking up a DIY solution but honestly all the equipment I would need to buy just to attempt it defeats the purpose and the electrical part seems needlessly complicated vs simple DIY I have done like drilling a hole in an aquarium or gluing PVC [emoji29]
Yeah there's a simple solution cost-wise I don't know what it cost. But just get a battery backup(UPS) for a computer you plug in your eflux(110v) I use two 1050 stream pumps and if power goes out there's your back up. You might be able to plug in the rest of your devices for the reef tank too.

I'm going to buy a UPS, but I plan only to plug in 1 pump to the UPS for the maximum time. I just don't know if the Loop controller will work with only 1 plugged into the UPS. I was looking at CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD.

By mentioning Loop controller are you describing the manifold hub. Because if it's the Hub you will need a power source for each pump on the Hub , that means two power sources two pumps.

I was thinking the same. I just wanted to see if anyone has done this yet.

Also 1 pump will work on one hub, it's made for upto 3 pumps one hub
