Battlecorals Vivid's Rainbow Acropora - Contest Discussion Thread

If I can make time for it tonight I'm gonna go through and see how many entries we have so far and what still needs to be shipped, etc.

I went through the official entry thread and made a list of who has posted their entry pics. I'll post it after supper. Should be within the hour.

I got 36 total, which means were missing 6 if all 42 did pay(that's the last count i got by reading through the threads).

I still haven't compared this list to those that have paid. I need to find that post and cross reference still.

I had a feeling it would take a while for eveyone to get their frags. Not the best time to start this with the weather being so unpredictable.

That said, I think Adam is doing a fantastic job getting all these shipped out! Already planning my next Battlebox.

Sucks for sure! Hope they pull through. I'm sure Adam will help you out if they don't. He replaced a blue tenuis that didn't make it after about 2 weeks in my first order. I didn't even let him know till my next order like a month later. No questions asked, I had a super sized frag of the same coral in my next Battlebox! Adam is a top notch person in this hobby for sure. I have no reason to order sps anywhere else!

My FedEx shipment was delayed.

Great packaging and heat pack still warm
I ordered a GC efflo and Adam toss in a free Frag !!! Delayed by FedEx but because Adam is an expert shipper the corals made it.

That is what I experienced. Here's mine in November 2016:

6 months of just blah before it starts to shine. Here's some pics a few months back.

Yours is making good progress. The coral should look like this though when it is fully colored up under high lighting:

That sucks. I hate it when that happens. I had one of my corals I got from Adam in my order (red robin)RTN last night too...musty have been a bad night.

It's natural to see that color change and it's a good sign you will probably start to loose the brown soon. Mine is starting to do the same!

I would like to chime into the contest, will get my Frag next week from Adam ;-)
For me it's just fun and like to join the contest to compare myself against other folks from a growth perspective.

So that said, I don't want to win anything, just occasionally post progress, discuss with you guys what issues we battle, improvements with this coral etc.
Is that OK ???
