Params are 8 alk, 430 cal..mag haven't checked today but a few days ago was like 1430

It's getting mod high indirect flow, no3 is 1, 8.2 ph... don't have tester for phosphates yet

It was on the back side so couldn't really see it until closer inspection.

It doesn't look like too much light. Looks like tissue necrosis or something took a bite out of it. I'd keep parameters stable and give it time.

I've never had much luck stopping it myself. Might want to start a thread in the sps subforum. You'll get more responses from people with lots more experience with this issue than myself. Kinda curious to hear what others have to say too.

It does kinda have the feel of a sting.
Possible alk burn to tip, but you’d see that coming. “Shouldn’t “happen overnight.

Pic? Lol. I do have a lobo that when I feed it has a long stand coming from mouth... flow is off so it could possibly have attached to the acro..

Ok so now there are more spots on it that have turned white....mainly where the polyp would come out...

Alk or ph swing? To much carbon dosing? To much activated carbon? Po4 near 0? There are so many reasons it could be happening.

Phosphates haven't hit 0, tastes are at 1, I don't run carbon, alk has not had a big enough swing... I'd say .8 tops.

Is hard to say then. Most of the normal things that cause it, you say haven't happened. Maybe try changing out some water to kind of reset things.
