Honestly I don't !!!I believe you are the only one to receive a fresh cut. Do you think this has helped with the growth? Kind of like when a coral is stalled on growth and you cut a branch it will sometimes get it to start growing.
When you see my history and posts in my build thread you will notice I have been taken care of minor trace elements that were extremely insufficient low such as Bromine, Barium and some others. Fluoride has made a huge difference in colorization and growth after that was lifted up ;-)
I do not feed anymore and do not use Aminos while I'm testing my own Trace Element line, just to see the effect of missing trace elements! The bad salt batch was bothering me on one side, but also has proven the importance again. I'm glad I could continue after the flood and got repeatedly the same results on my own system rather than from others.
As for my own, I'll snap a pic later this week but we're due to close on the new house Friday. Hopefully the next update will be positive and everything makes it through the move relatively well (I'll be satisfied with not dead LOL).
