I’m using two 90 degree pieces of pvc for my siphons. Since I’m not gluing these to bulkheads, how do you get the different heights

Insert a short piece of pvc to the 90 elbow and bulkhead to connect them. I think, I’m not sure I understand the question. What type of overflow box is it?

Yes that’s what I was after. I am using a Modular Marine. I also got the elbows that will fit directly into my bulkhead. I could just add a small piece to secondary and make it a little higher, correct?

Looking for feedback on Modular Marine from those who have it installed for months/years.

Main siphon is 2", 1.5" pipe with mesh zipped tied on, emergency is level with overflow 7" approx, only two dont need third emergency

I will post up pics of my bean animal overflow once I get it done, over the coming weekend. Basically you want the emergency drain the tallest, then the secondary darin a bit shorter and the main drain needs to be fully submerged. Here is how mine is being setup. 90° street fitting into 90° into pvc pipe cut to needed length into drain on overflow box.

Well why does anyone use them? Lol

Those elbows help to prevent a vortex of air coming down from the surface of the water and getting sucked down the siphon. The open channel isn't so important, though using an elbow and a small tube for air can help to silence water splashed somewhere down the drain, such as when the water gets to the sump.

Well if I end up doing a straight drain without the elbows, I can use a ball valve to control noise, right?
