What pump are you powering your ev skimmer with?

Its being ran on a Eheim 1260,IT was a little touchy getting it dialed in at first.

tiny polys not sure exactly what they are but they were a hangeroner on a dead frag.

Those are called blue clove polyps.

Be careful with them because they spread rapidly!

thanks for the info.... couple questions... 1) are the "mean" they can spread rapidly, but do they fight for there space or just fill in where they can? Light needs? I have the up high in the brightest light I can because my lights are not appropriate for a reef. using a 24 watt power compact artist (ott) light I had laying around. the upgraded lights are in the works, they will soon be under 4 bulb 3ft vho's from an old system I had long ago. I was guessing mid to low light on them but what are your thoughts for light on them in the long run?

I'm on my phone or I'd post a pic. Search my 75 gallon tank thread for blue cloves. They almost took over my whole tank. They are brooders that release planular larvae and they can pop up anywhere in your tank. You can't isolate them like Xenia or Gsp.

saw them in your pic's around page 4 or 5 I didn't realize those Ginormous areas were them ... that's just wow.... how long had they been in your tank to spread that much?

They were out of control and started killing corals after about 2 years. I kept removing them with a toothbrush but I think that made it worse. They always came back by the thousands.

ack ...I answered my own question by looking a bit deeper. hrmm so. I guess at least I didn't pay for them... I should probably remove them so that I don't repeat your experiances... 8( they are really pretty... to bad they get so annoying. thanks for the heads up.

well they were on a frag plug from a failed frag of a chalice I think....wonder if they killed the frag... poop thought I had a score there.

this is the overflow/return for the system I bought. does anyone have any experience with this style set up?
the thin pipe pressure fits down the center of the overflow tube and is the return. the return and overflow flow thru the same whole in the tank. seeking thoughts before I set it all up. is this efficient? should I just run a return hose over the side and not use this?

need to get appropriate lighting over my guys...but this tank was "planned" on just being a live rock reseeding tank. to be moved into the 65 I have all ready to go that's on hold till I get moved.
