Berghia Nudibranch for aptasia?

The filefish is a good idea and also the nudi copperband is good also but on the hard side to keep cause of there eating habits I would go with the file or apt or even both just make sure you get the right nudis and the reef sale file

Which file fish is reef safe guys?

I need 100% reef safe animals. I dont want any of my corals getting eaten lol.

I tried $100 worth of berghia with no luck but I would have done it different as far as adding them if I buy them again. I put a couple in my overflows which is where the bulk of my problem is. Also put one in my sump, frag tank etc. To do over again I'd put all in one overflow and let them multiply easier/at all. I still have one I see now and then in my overflow but he is lonely and can't multiply without a mate. No difference noted on aptasias where I see that guy either.

I have a filefish in QT I'm very hopeful. Hopeful he will like aptasia. hopeful he wont munch on my coral. I have some pricy polyps so I'll be ticked if he goes rogue. Seems like a good percentage go either way.

Also My copperband Idk know for sure if he controls aptasia or not. There is very little in my display but I do see a couple that I've know about for a long time and can't really get to myself. Most of my aptasia nightmare is in my frag tank, sump, and overflows so maybe that means the copperband is (mostly) doing its job.

All the fish are great at removal, its just you never know if they will deffinitly eradicate the issue. Also the fish will somtimes eat the aiptasia anf leave a piece of the foot behind for it to grow back. Berghias are crazy expensive, but they will only eat aiptasia and every last morsal they get there beeks on. The top priority is to get the berghias to breed, mine lay eggs every night but 80% of the time the eggs are eaten by amphipods. Ive always used berghias, and to be honest, the best thing to do (if you dont want a new fish) is buy atleast 10 and hope for the best.

Yea man I only have a few fish so I can add one. Will I need to feed them along with my other fish or do they just eat aptasia?

i tried file fish its a hit or miss. but nudi really did the job. you have to buy few to get the work done.

I might have to eat my words. I just decided to check and still a good amount of aptasia. I didn't see any nudi left in my overflow, but I did find this x's 4...

I think today I will get a file fish, and see if it works. If it does work then I will just have to manually kill the bigger ones and let him eat the smaller ones.

They say the Molly Miller blenny is good at eating aptipsa. I got lucky and have a Potter's angel that ate all mine but he still doesn't bother corals. And he's not lease for hire lol.
