I saw these on FB and like the memes say, Take My Money.
It is pretty cool, they screw onto the Hanna vial and the mouth of the funnel is large enough that chances are, you won't miss pouring in the reagents. I got one for each of my test kits to avoid cross contamination.

What impressed me was the fit and the size of the funnel.

Yeah, insignificant things can excite lol

Yes! I ordered two of those as well. For most reagents, it's no problem, but a couple are such fine powder that I'm always having to tap the packet to get the rest out, and I'd end up spilling some half the time. Having a big target is a huge improvement.

But what if some of the reagent sticks to the funnel?
This just adds an unnecessary step in my view.
I don't really see this as any better than folding the packet into an easily pourable spout and dumping it into the cuvette. This just introduces more room for error.

and now you have a funnel to clean each time too.

Oh we've all been there lol

I thought of that, but if any gets onto the funnel just tap the vial against the table, the powder will go down.

Only $4 for five on Amazon, but like your recommendation better.

this!
it was a game changer once i learned to fold the packet in half and cut once to create a nice creased pourable spout.
never wasted or spilt powder again..

credits to mokyi for showing how to do this on his channel
start at the 11 min mark.

I use the same ones but cut the stem shorter so it's above the water line. The only one I feel the need to use the funnel with is the Hanna high range nitrate. The NO3 test powder get everywhere if I don't. The PO4 low range pours out nicely for me.

I love this!! This has been needed for a while!!

Agreed. If you fold the pack and cut it right you will almost never spill. Fold and cut across the dotted line.

Hanna has stated that there is more than enough reagent in each reagent packet to get the color change even if you don't get all of it into the cuvette. they put extra in each packet expecting that you will spill a little. it doesn't affect the test.
