Yeah it won’t allow me to see it. I would of loved to of seen a harem of flame angels in the tank. It would also be amazing to see them spawning as well

Ok thanks. I’ll go try that right now.

Do you have one? How is it’s temperament?
Never had one, but that's what I would get. Also forgot to respond in the big angel thread.. no I've never had experience with asfur, annularis or bluelien, sorry

Hello everyone.
I’m in the middle of figuring out all the different fish that I would like for 205 gallon display tank. I’ve been following people’s great comments on the regular size angels and I thought I would do one for dwarf angels in the hope of getting insight on people’s experience with the dwarf angels. I don’t have any fish in my tank yet. I’m trying to figure out all my fish while I set up the tank. It’s going to be a fish only tank. Any positive feed back would truly be appreciated

Bruce

If you want an all around good community tank mate and fairly hardy Dwarf Angel, you will be hard pressed to beat a Coral Beauty. I had a Flame who was a complete jerk of a tankmate, but my CB has been a near model citizen (both with Corals and with tank mates), the only caution with them is that they aren't super fond of new additions (although given time they will adapt) so make sure it is one of the last fish you add or that you don't wait too long between adding fish.

I did a review of mine here if you are interested:

Oh ok. Thank you very much for your selection. You’ve given me even more choices and made my selection even harder now lol

Thank you very much for the video and input. I’ve been thinking about the coral beauty. Do you have any experience with the Potter angel? I was wondering if they would clash together or not?

Nox is a very graceful angel but was an oral picker so I have to return him back to the LFS. FOWLR would be perfect tank for a harem.
Ok great. They don’t look to dull in a tank?

None with the Potter's per se, although they do have a reputation for being more delicate and being harder to get to feed initially (which is generally the make or break with them doing well long term). Bicolors can also be a bit on the delicate side. Hence my comments about the CB being best all around in terms of it's demeanor and hardiness. That and if something does go wrong it won't break the bank either (run $30-$35 on average). That's the biggest reason I have shied away from the Potter's as that is $130 down the drain if one doesn't make it.

I like fish **** so I always try to keep breeding units of smaller fish in my tank. I love to keep 3 dwarf angels of the same species rather than three of different species. I think the interesting behaviors far out weight the variety. Also when fish spawn in my aquarium, it give me confirmation that I am taking optimal care of them.
In my 320 DT, I have 4 Flame Angels, that spawn all the time, and two Regal angels which I hope will form pairs. Other fishes that spawn regularly in my tank include Percula pair, Mandarin pair. I also have pairs of China wrasses, Sand sifter gobies, Black Leopard Wrasse.

Ok perfect. Thank you very much for input. I truly appreciate it. If you think of anything else regarding the coral beauty, please do not hesitate to let me know

I never looked it at it that way before. A harem a dwarf could be really cool. As long as I don’t get a bunch of males sent to me lol. I do want a schoal of anthias and I’m also thinking of getting three yellow tangs. So maybe a harem of a separate colour will be really cool. Are your mandarins captive bred? I would love some mandarins. Would a mandarin or two work in my tank? I won’t have live rock and coral. It’s fake coral and rock. I will be stocking the refugium with copepods and ampipods
