Im starting ny display fige back up.
Im wantijg to know what the best fuge light is for growth and for me to look at the display fuge.
I dont want a light that has a pink tint to it. Its not very pleasing to the eye but i want a light that will grow all the macro algae
Im thinking maybe t5. What bulbs should i use tho?

Well best is definitely a kessil helo I love it and it's been growing macro for like like crazy for the past few years. But since you said you don't want pink/red....

T5 6500k would grow macro

I have the halo lol its in the sump fuge now.
It will go on the other system when i get the display fuge up and running.

Lol what are you growing? Just cheato and other macro? Or like a mangrove display? And over a 29 gal a 4 bulb would cover the entire tank

I use kessil tuna suns on my FW planted tanks and like them. They should do great for a fuge just they are a bit expensive.

Just some easy macros.
Maybe some nicer stuff later not sure. But no mangroves or anything.

Yeah but kessils are good lights.
Im not sure i wanna spend that much right now. I got some stuff thats a little higher on the list.

You might also consider the Finnex Planted+ LED fixture (not the 24/7 model. It's cheap and has both red and warm white leds. Looks good to the eye and grows plants very well. Finnex and their fixtures are pretty popular in the Planted Nature aquarium world.

I have heard a lot of talk about the fennex lights. I also have a lightly planted 65 gallon FW. Never even thought of them for the saltwater tank. Thats a good idea. I will look into that.
