Im starting ny display fige back up.
Im wantijg to know what the best fuge light is for growth and for me to look at the display fuge.
I dont want a light that has a pink tint to it. Its not very pleasing to the eye but i want a light that will grow all the macro algae
Im thinking maybe t5. What bulbs should i use tho?
Awesome thanks.Triton recommend the Giesemann Tropic 6500k

I've used these lower cost bulbs on all my High Tech planted tanks and the not only perform but look good at better than 1/2 the price of Giesemann. Aquariumplants.com uses this bulb exclusively on their propagation tanks and recommended them for growing plants. Giesemann bulbs cost too much for what other 1/2 priced bulbs can do.
you don't need to spend a lot to grow Macro

Im going to have to disagree with you on that. I had those before i got the halo. They grow cheato just fine and it kept algae out of my display tank. Those bulbs are garbage lol. You get that you pay for in lighting. Those $20 bulb will grow macho but not even close to efficient. To make a refug useful you have to have the par that can complete with your display lights.
Looks like its growing great. This is what I'm rolling with on my 40 gallon fuge.
