So I am getting married next July and am planning a trip leaving on the 1st of August through the 15th of August. My fiance has agreed that we want a snorkeling/diving oriented trip.

We would like something all inclusive and in a great location for coral and fish. We have been to St. Thomas and St. John (staying in St. John), as well as several places in the Dominican Republic (staying in Punta Cana).

This is not an unlimited budget vacation. We would like to keep it reasonable. What are the best locations you have been to for snorkeling, diving, and overall experience?

Montego bay, Jamiaca was just there
but
Aruba looks alot nicer

I agree on Nassau, Bahamas and using applevacations. Thats what my boyfriend and I did when we went down last spring. I got really sea sick on the boat, but we went snorkeling with stuart's cove (they also offer diving). The people were really friendly and the locations were nice. The dolphins actually came out and started swimming with my boyfriend, although they advised him to get back on the boat immediately because of it (there was a baby dolphin so they worried they'd get aggressive). Of course, he was so captivated by the two grey angels getting ready to mate, that he didn't even notice the dolphins... :)
Anyway, we stayed at Riu, which was all inclusive. Plus right next to Atlantis, so you could take advantage of anything that was there, without the hefty price of rooms and food.

ya we have used apple before. it was a top notch #1 resort and we loved it. the second vacation was a private 16,000 SF villa in st. john. they do good work. probably will go with them, but have to choose where i am going first. i am leaning toward bora bora, fiji, cook islands, and jamaca.

all places are just so different. I agree with one above on aruba. We were able to dive 4 times in one day there and never got on a boat.
Someone mentioned Maui and I agree there as well. Lots of awesome fish and turtles.
If I were able to load up right now and go anywhere that I have been before it would probably be Bermuda. It was probably the best all around. stunning, clear, great reefs that were not to deep, lots of unusual fish, laid back resorts. may have just been me or the timing but that was a great place.

I was not a big fan of Nassau. I have not been to Belize.
The best I have been to is Maui. Take a boat trip out to the Creator for some amazing snorkeling. Never mind the island is beautiful from shore to mountains. Great for a honeymoon.
Get the Banana bread.

ARUBA hands down

Word. Aruba was absolutely amazing. I got married last October (coming up on our 1 year) and we went to Aruba. I went previously with my family. Both times I went snorkeling. They also offer Scuba or Snuba for extra, but I found that snorkeling was perfectly fine, provided that you don't have a problem with holding your breath a little bit. My husband and I went for 5 days 4 nights, and it was all inclusive at the Divi Divi Aruba. So, flight, food, transportation and hotel was all around 1,600$. Not bad for two young people on a budget, we thought. Let me know what you decide! :) I can post pictures if you prefer as well!

bahammas is not that great for diving, its ok but has been beat up by so many tourists,

Caymen islands have some really nice dive sites but have been getting a little over crowded, stingray city is kinda cool but gets old.

went to a wedding in St. Croix and dove with Cane Bay dive shop (look em up really good stuff), great people prices at that shop, the island was ok but alot of crime though georgious.

Costa Rica is pretty nice to dive as well
Puerto Rico i would but about the same as costa rica, i think the north west side is where most of the diving is.

Keys are just ok, im sure there are some nice places but further up the fla coast (pompanau etc there are alot of wreck dives which are an experience)

Just try to remember when your not diving youll be wanting to go out get good food and be able to enjoy other things, unless your a lucky dog and get to stay in the room the whole time, we did a europe trip and had a bunch of fun travelling around but a diving trip woulda been a ton of fun.

my 2Cents

strange being in st thomas and not going to st croix ive been there for work but Christiansted in st croix is nice plus there are some boats that take you to dive and ther are a lot of nice places to stay also Puerto Rico on the east fajardo and west side cabo rojo ,boqueron and also San Juan la capital

Costa Rica sounds REALLY nice...
