I have the Growstar UFO and I have been pretty happy with algae growth so far. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and watched my softball sized cheato ball grow into a volleyball sized ball in about a week. That's impressive growth!
I added a Fluval Sea Nano Marine LED full spectrum that I had hanging around from an old 15gal tank. I figured it couldn't hurt to have the extra light. If I thought the Fluval Sea Nano Marine LED was enough on it's own, I would not have even bothered with the Growstar.
I like the mount for the Fluval. I'm working on a way to mount the Growstar. I have both lights laying on a glass pane at the moment. It takes up space but it works.
This is the Fluval Sea Nano Marine LED...

I DO have a concern with the Growstar light though and wonder if anyone else that has one noticed what I notice...
I get this white powder that comes through the side vents and the fan. I don't know what it is and I don't know if it's harmful for my reef.
Anyone else see this with their Growstar light?
