Need some opinions here. What are the best LEDs for acros? Color and growth, I’m trying to decided between hydra/Radion/mitras. I think 2 lights should good for a Standard 75 gallon tank right?

Thoughts...

Thanks

No such thing as the best, just opinions.

Out of the three choices:

I'd go with the Radion's and buy the diffusers too.
A close second would be the Mitras

:)

I just bought Hydra 26's for my 75G tank. I'm buying a third because I like to keep the lights under my short canopy and they don't cover the whole tank very well without raising the height. I do like the programmability of them without needing additional spending. Good enough for my needs ;) Plus I can get three Hydra 26s for the same price as two XR15 Pros with a controller. I guess it would depend on if you have an Apex or not also. I don't, so the controllability is a definite plus for me.

Yeah, I was leaning toward two Hydra 52s under a short canopy.

I think two Hydra 52s would be more than enough. My tank has the brace in the middle and I bet the two 52s would be perfect for minimal shadowing and more PAR than you would ever need. They were a major upgrade for me, and after just a few days I can see a difference in the corals I have.

The SB reeflights are supposed to be a really good light at an a affordable price. I have some myself, but my tank is not wet yet so I can't tell you how they are doing. However, others with them are telling me they work very well for both color and growth. I can tell you they are MUCH more affordable.

They look decent. It doesn’t look like you hang them though.

Tis true, but some opinions are best... like mine. ;) Radions with diffusers is a very good opinion!

I think I’m deciding G4s. Don’t think I need the pros, not sure if it’s worth the cash for and 40w each.

Plus I’ll have 2 MP40s, so I’ll get the reef link.

SBreef hanging above my nano

The new Maxspect R5X line is really nice. Definitely an upgrade from their R420R line imo. The R5-200 would fit a 75 nicely and will reach the sand bed with no issues.
