Best material cup for anemone footing

For the record, the answers I'm getting here, have been exactly what to look for in this hobby...two polar oppisities types of people...

I didn't even say this was for me, I didn't say the aneome wasn't already attached completely for weeks...I said EXACTLY what I MEANT lolol.

A general discussion on nem footing material. Clay vs plastic. Vented vs None. Growth size of foot vs 'body'...etc. Productive conversation, on the subject at hand. Not basic anemone care or recreating nature lol.

I've owned every type of anemone you could own in my 15 years or keeping, servicing, and working at the LFS...but yes maybe one day I'll learn !!!

I keep a csb chsb and a black widow (all in different systems) and I use a basket a glass nem globe with suction cups and a another type of basket no real difference other then the baskets get better flow but with the globe it can just stick its self out for more flow

do you have any worries about the glass? I know the amount of pressure needed to repture would be extreme, but I'm thinking if it feel or bummed a rock etc...

Red Hawaiian anemone which sits on a piece of flat rock. Moveable if needed. The trick was getting it to stay, covered with net cup for a couple days until it stayed put.

I broke 1 of the 2 globes I got I just super glued the piece that broke

No issues Coraline or other alages always seem to add an extra layer of protection and durability anyway

It stays put. I can pick up the rock to remove algae, move it to scrape the bottom of tank, it just stays on the rock. Best answer I had. I had tried the anemone cup on glass, I didn’t like that , it was plastic and algae seemed to adhere making it a green color. If it was on the rockscape, couldn’t move the rock if I had to clean anything. This one I’ve had for the better part of 10 yrs I’m guessing. It stays small and is very sticky. Different tanks, a crash literally, it’s a survivor!
