I like the last apogee that is usb i think the 520. Easier to use with computer than handheld device IMO.

Yeah it's a shame there aren't more affordable options for something like this.
One of my LFS has rentals but they said they didn't have batteries and couldn't find any locally...
so that didn't help.

Apogee MQ510 which I borrow from my lfs.
I have a seneye which works okay as well for comparative measurements
