Best power strip?

I use these... they are metal, tough, can handle some water if it happes (when?) and the surge protector seems to be good. They also have long cords and don't get mad if I plug high wattage stuff into them.

Wowza lol

I bought one of those Rigid ones from Home depot. It's got usb, spaced outlets and close together ones. And it's protected. I sit it on top of an overturned bucket in back of my control cab. Works wonderfully.

Two of these.

CRST 6 Outlet Heavy Duty Metal Power Strip with Individual Switches, 15A/1875W Mountable

Each outlet is switchable and wide spaced. Wi-Fi is great on the controllers but not my power strips. No way! If I need power off I need the power off. Fumbling with an app nada for power.

Tripp Lite

I wanted the American DJ until I found pics from someone breaking one down. Those things are serious hazards and horribly built these days

No surprise there. Cut quality and cost to maintain a price point.

Tripp Lite was bought a few years ago and a lot of them are made in China but they are still quality inside especially the metal case ones.

I have 5 tanks, 4 in the same room all of them on Tripp lite's.
Never had a problem with any of them.

This is what I use. Two factors I like, first the outlets are oriented in such a way that even the largest power converter plug will fit anywhere. Second, each ring has its own switch. This means I can turn off all of the flow with 2 switches, and still have the lights on so I can work on the tank.

Check out this bad boy - surge protection and individual outlet control via wifi

While nice, this keeps me phone or tablet dependent. I like the physical switches I can just flip for stuff that is supposed to be on 24/7.

Each socket has a clicky button to the upper left that turns it on/off.

I've used these, but I've gone through 3 or 4 over the past few years. When whatever fuse they use blows, it is time for a new unit.

Shipping to AUS is THAT expensive? It's only a $30 item on Amazon.
Yeah true, but they are not AUS plug or voltage, we are on 240v here.
There is one company that makes them in Aus, but they cost a lung....
