Best way to clean filter socks

Switch to mesh clean via sink ;)

Make diy ones clean never [emoji23]

I am actually using 1 mesh and 1 cloth.

If I want to clean up my water I will run 2 cloth for a while

Then I will run 2 mesh for a while and just clean in the sink!

Washing machine while the wife's not looking [emoji16]

I keep 10 changes (20 socks) in rotation so it's only a monthly chore. I rinse them out and store them in a bucket until I wash them.
that's me too. been caught a few times and was yelled at like i was 3 years old:eek:

only use mesh. 1 full bright white cycle in washer (HOT!), 1/2 cap bleach w/ extra rinse

So do yall turn them inside out ? How do you ensure your getting all the stuff from the inside. I use the washing machine as well however I take them out back and spray them out mostly turning them inside out to get rid of as much as I can first.
Yes. Inside out and thats the pain part plus you have to turn them right side out when done. Someone should make reversible ones. (i get royalties when you do this)Get it started then pull it down over a broom handle is my trick.

i turn them inside out put in washer with about 1/8 cup of bleach about 1/4 tablespoon soap and wash than turn them back to normal put back in washer wash with no soap or bleach wash and double rinse works great

Washer, inside out, hot, no bleach or soap of any kind.

I like using my power washer works great I clean about 20 at a time!! No bleach no mess in the house:-)

looks fine. no phosphates :-)

3. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS Components CAS Number Concentration Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate 15630-89-4 > 40 % Sodium Carbonate 497-19-8 > 20 % Sodium Citrate 6132-04-3 > 10 % Sodium Chloride 7647-14-5 > 20 %

the worst component in there is the peroxyhydrate which is basically mold inhibitor.

Thanks reeftivo for the checking it out, so far it cleans my reactors and tunze pumps really good, i will make sure I give them a good soak in RO water.

Going to try bleach and extra rinse, I have been using just washer and no bleach however they come out smelling still! So if they smell like something dead in them then well, something is still dead in them.
