Best way to feed acans and what?

I'll play with my fish sometimes by using my baser to target feed them too and my niger is super aggressive with it and even left scratch marks in the glass with his tusks. Big puppy also will steal food out of corals' mouths.

Besides whatever is floating in the water, once a week I feed Coral Frenzy Pellets using an open rod that has a funnel pushed on top. Tap the rod, the pellets funnel down. This allows me to spot feed a few LPS at a time before reloading.

Can you post a photo of your setup? I tried feeding the Fauna Marin with tweezers without much success. If I soak them in Selcon they turn to mush.

Pellets. I feed pellets to all lps that can eat them. I noticed much faster growth rates after switching to pellets, I think it’s because the coral can consume all of the pellets vs reef roids which a coral can maybe only consume 20-30% of. It’s also harder for them to grab/maneuver reef roids.

Do you feed the pellets with a pipette or some other way?

I feed mine reef roids and LPS pellets once a week, plus mysis shrimp when I’m feeding the fish.

I feed mine small pieces of LRS Nano Reef Frenzy. I have a 10 mls syringe with a long(13") hard plastic straw that I suck up the food and put 1 piece onto each acan polyp twice a week. The grow like weeds.

I direct feed with feeding tube (baster would work also) directly over coral using mysis shrimp, oyster feast and brine shrimp

I went to Tap Plastics and got a 1/4" ID acrylic rod and then used the little funnel I got from Amazon to feed my Blasto's and other LPS corals tonight. Worked like a charm. The fish watch the pellets float down the tube but don't go after the food once it's on the corals. I used Fauna Marin LPS Grow+Color pellets.
Primed the corals with a little Reed Roids and waited 10 mins to feed the pellets.

I wonder why certain acans wont put out feeder with lights on! I even notice that some newer ones I got had them out all the time when I first got them and now they dont! I have one in particular I love and paid a lot of money for and looks like she might be on her way out because she wont eat! I call her a her because she is pink with a yellow center! lol. I love that pretty girly acan!

Does anyone know the name of that food thats supposed to be feed first for PE? I cant remember the name! I wonder if it works!

I am up at its 4:08 am so going to try to feed now! If this works I guess I am going to have to either turn lights out much earlier of get up in the middle of the night and feed my acans!
