Biggest Impulse Buy!!

Since I've started reefing, I usually try to plan out my purchases. After all, I am a responsible adult...right?? Well, many of us have made some pretty impulsive buys in this hobby... (Be honest! You know you have!!) So what was your biggest impulse buy?? Was it that fish you didn't know you had to have until you saw it swimming around? Or...how about that crazy psychedelic coral that you wouldn't have believed was the real deal until you saw it in person...and then out came the wallet? Or how about that shiny new gadget you saw at Reef-a-palooza or down at your LFS...that one thing that you didn't even know existed until you saw it but then couldn't imagine reefing without it ever again?? Haha! I know I've had some of each of those...how about you guys? What was your biggest impulse buy?

Where do I start?!?

I walked in and out of my “usual 3” local shops, because I had been trying to find a fish to add to my tank. I walked out with something every time. Purple lobster/more snails/crab/urchin/shrimp/coral (a lot!)

Biggest one, was the Welsophylia (however you spell it) that is bigger than a volleyball cut in half.

I guess it came from a tank tear down

Most impulse buy fish are these I got together

Emperor Angelfish £200 (yes UK pounds)
Blue Face Angelfish £100 (yes UK pounds again!) AKA the coral eater!

Oh and should I mention the Twin Tech Calcium Reactor.......

Just bought a $900 waterbox nano from my local lfs lol love the tank but dam it was pricey

My biggest impulse buy was actually triggered by @Daniel@R2R and @revhtree
Its because of them I bought my 75 gallon tank

Most of the time I am able to control myself. But that Rollermat thing was definitely an impulse buy for a new build, and I haven't even put it to use. I hang my head in shame!

Every time I buy sps corals frags, whenever I go to a frag swap I accidentally take out my debit card and impulsively buy corals, good example will be this upcoming weekend, lol!!!

Not sure about impulse buying but my heart starts to "impulse" rapidly every single time I'm in the RR store!!!! So that's when I feel butterflies in my stomach ....

starting with RR Rainbow Splice Milli and the list goes on forever!

My biggest impulse buys have been corals from reefers here on R2R.
I've picked up a few pretty nice pieces lately.

First major impulse buy for the sps tank

Ditched the gyre fed up with it and purchase two mp40’s.
The next was the trip to RAP-Chicago. Went just to look and maybe get a few pieces. budget was about $500.
Came back with 9 frags instead and spent well over $1200.
