Bio Pellet Reactor Choices

I just set up the Hydra Aquatics Biopellet Reactor this morning. It appears to be working very good as far as tumbling goes. I'm operating it with a Rio 800.

On my Rea Sea Max 650, I'm using a Reef Dynamics unit. It works great and has a huge adjustment range for tumble, as well as, capability to control the amount of water processed. It is a bit expensive. I would recommend both units depending upon your price point.

Wow! Is that much tumble really needed?

That is a pretty aggressive tumble, and I wouldnt suggest that much early on at all. But if you notice how even it is, that is what I am pointing out. I do tumble mine about this fast, but only because they have been on my system for 2 years, and I am scavenging those last remaining bits of phos and trates. And my system is balanced to the point that I (knock on wood) havent seen a bit of cyano or algae in a year.

Got ya. Mine doesn't even really look like it tumbles compared to that. LOL I've got mine throttled pretty far back though... Only day 12 since starting to run it.

I don't know why but the music people put to their aquarium videos cracks me up. Thanks for everyone's imput on this. I has been very helpful in my search.

Atomic Reef is no longer around but one of the founders of the company is local and I would be he would still make you one if wanted. I just got one from him a few weeks back and it's really nice. Can't beat it for the price if you ask me. Mixer911 is the man you need to contact to see if he'll build ya one! I'm surprised he hasn't chimed in yet!
