So I previously had a 65g getting started and after 3 months just ran out of steam and what to get and all the money required to get this one going. So I called my LFS and asked if I could trade what I had in for a biocube 29 and all the things needed. He said bring it in and we'll get you setup and get your feet wet. So I got the tank, sand, salt, heater, 28lb dry rock and 6 gallons of RO water for an even trade. He asked if I wanted the crap stand for it and I said I'd build my own again. So here is what I have done the last 3 days.
Built Frame From 2x3's
Wrapped the frame with 1/4" birch plywood.
Test fitting the door and checking overall look.
Checking how the tanks looks and how big the top will be.
Stain on
Top cut to mach outline of tank 1/2 wider and 1 inch deeper.
Looks good from top.
Checking fit and ready to lay the bead of glue to make it flat on the frame.
aquascaping done
Removed bio balls and ready to start filling.
4 hours latter.
So I have a few things on order.
eshopps foam filter
Blue & White Poly Filter Pad
Chemipure Elite
Matrix Carbon
Purigen
So it's been a long day see how it looks in the morning.
