Yeah that's nice!

MasterBacon, are those Prime HD's over a 29g? Did you have a hard time getting the splash guard reinstalled after installing them?
Went in like a piece of cake! I removed the reflector and 1 led bar. loosened next 2 then had to snip the nippels for the reflector. spaced them under the original vents and used the led bars to grab the middle of the hds and tightened them down. only other modification was notching a spot for the wires and keep it water tight.

Man that is awesome!
I'm so reluctant to cut a hole in the top on my 14g canopy but I really want to put a Prime HD on it. And I'm not sure if the splash guard on the 14g is as thick or hangs down as much as it does on the 29g. Your's looks so awesome though.

Nice work.

The problem was I only had one in the beginning. With the tank at the restaurant I had to stay with a closed lid. 1 HD didn't have enough spread so close to the surface of the water. That's why I went to 2. You should be able to fit it in like mine with minimal effort!

Well that give me hope. You think I can get away with one since the 14 isn't as wide at the 29?

I like that you were able to keep all the other hardware in it.

It's a pretty narrow beam, not sure. Here is a picture with 1 then a pic with 2. Different light settings but you can see the shading on the sides. Hope this helps .

I see what you mean. I made a paper template of the Prime HD and used it to test the placement on my tank and unfortunately I'd never get two of those under my splashguard. They would extend to the section that holds the ballast and other wiring. Looks like I have some more thinking to do. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

To all you Biocubers out there. Let's see aquascape, your live stock, light upgrades, filtration, anything really. Post a pic of your cube and tells us about it. I look forward to seeing everyone's set up!

I have a BC 29. It's still dry, I'm slowly getting all of the system together. But plan on adding a protein skimmer, UV filter, InTank refugium and media basket. I bought the Coralife stand but it's a piece of junk. So I'm gonna just build a new one. Idon't have a build thread yet but will soon.

@that_guy It promotes very good chaeto growth, I trim mine about 3xs a month. I was stuck between the innovative marine and the jbj I don't think you can go wrong either way. If you get the jbj let me know what you think.
