How often do you see the biota yellow tangs for sale? I'm pretty new to the hobby and want a group for my 300 gallon tank. Since they come in pretty small I want them before any other tangs or territorial fish. I know this depends, but do they only show up like once a year or quite often? I'm on the email list. Thanks :)

They are available every month or two, and were available a week and a half ago. They sell out quickly though.

Thank you! Do you think it would be ill advised to add a flame angel before the yellow tangs? I know they can be semi-aggressive but not sure on the full extent towards tangs.

I saw one at the Carolina Aquatic Expo two weekends ago. Only 1.
I think The Fish Room intended to bring 12 to the show and most sold out before he even set up the display. The demand is just crazy for them right now.

Sadly I've been seeing them all over instagram in 20g and 30g tanks :(
Hopefully as just a QT or grow-out for a larger system, I know many of our customers ask the best way to grow them out before introducing them to a tank with larger established tang.

I will use my refugium for an observation and grow out if they are too small. I've placed my gold lined rabbit from you in there and it was amazing. Plenty of algae and space to grow. Within two months it was in the display. Only fish that went in direct was the pink squares but that was being they are a bit larger and able to manage the flow.

We have batches of yellows going up every few weeks but they've been selling out in minutes. It sounds like production has increased at our Hawaii facility so we'll see them up more regularly.
I finally got the notification this morning and was able to grab some!! Thank you

Glad you got some! They are pretty.

Wish the Milletseeds would place nice and spawn a few times :)

Thank you for supporting us! They sold out in record time today but we have more hopefully turning yellow next week.

I'm hoping the guys in Hawaii have some milletseeds for you. They ended up breeding two other species of fish recently that we're excited to announce soon.

Ah, I missed it! That is exciting though. Can't wait to see the other two species as well. Congrats

Got the notification a bit late today, maybe 10 minutes then all tangs are gone. Better luck next time for me.

was lucky enough to secure one today. I think around a week or so ago they were available. I got the email this morning and they were in stock for about five minutes lol. Pretty pumped as I’ve had adults before.

Congrats! I ordered from last weeks batch and received them today. They are great, tiny little guys but super healthy. You won't be disappointed!

The one great thing about buying captive bred and them arriving small is that we have a rough estimate of their age. Wild caught is a big unknown.
