We could meet on a Saturday or Sunday. whatever is better for everyone.... shall we take a vote? How about we pick actual dates to see how many would show... vote for one or either...
SATURDAY MARCH 23rd
vs.
SUNDAY MARCH 24th

We could pull together to place an order of over $200 and avoid shipping charges, get to know others for advice, tank sitting, etc... I live in downtown Birmingham next to workplay. We have a ground floor club room we can use.

Doesn't matter for me, working 7 days a week. As long as it's after about 4:30pm, I'm good.

Also, I'd love to avoid shipping charges. What some people charge for 'shipping' is ridiculous!

Agreed! How cool would it be to be able to order a $20 piece and just pay $20 instead of $20 + $30 shipping?!

Saturday works anytimes... Sunday works in the afternoon for me... not really in the market for anything at the moment, but depending on vender I may piggyback and get something despite myself.

Sunday afternoon would be best for me, I'll be out of town that Saturday.

Whatever date we settle on we should make sure to post up at the other mega forums, regional forums, and put flyers out at the local mom and pop stores. Might as well see how much interest there is.

Also, based on the size of Birmingham and the moderate interest of club in the past I think the groundwork should be for an aquarium/aquatic club. That way the freshwater, saltwater, and reef community can all be utilized. But that's something we can discuss at the actual interest meeting. Just floating it out there.

I wouldn't have any problem with having a get together on both those days. How about we plan on that Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at noon. That way we have one early and one later. Between now and then tell everyone you can and make number of participants known here. Here is a map showing address and where to park etc.... I'll make a flyer a bit later. Sound good?

Fava beans and a nice chianti is customary. Nothing at least for this gathering. Just bring friends! Thanks!

Just keep an eye out for postings here. Things will be more solidified once we get a bit closer.

One of the things on the agenda should be a possible change of name. Birmingham Area Reef Fanatics (BARF) may be hard to promote.
