I'm planning to spend a small fortune this year. It's funny because I never participate in this annual shopping extravaganza, but this year I've got the cash and a tank build planned. Hoping to save quite a bit by making 1 or 2 very large orders from a few select vendors.

Wishlist for my 40g breeder:
Skimmer
ATO
RO/DI unit
LED light fixture
Power heads or a gyre
Sand and rocks

Have you been making a list? Saving cash? What's on your Black Friday wishlist?

4 buckets of Red Sea coral Pro Salt, Bought 3 and it almost lasted the year, I bought a the Blue bucket and that is almost done so its 4 this year. BTW the tank is not happy with the change.
I also have my eye on the New AI Pump and defusers for XR15's as far as toys go, But mostly maintenance and expendables this year

I'm thinking about maybe getting an Apex or MP-40 to try out. With BRS having their gift cards on sale last night I picked up a few so even more savings for black friday.

Couple things on the list, all depending on what sales and discounts end up being.

Carbondoser
Kamoer Peristalic pump
Double Junction PH Probe
Apex PM1 module
RO/DI booster pump
Hanna Phosphate checker
A few Eheim Jager heaters
Various refills on test kits, GFO, carbon etc.

I was just complaining about 2 months of Christmas shows and music last night (commercials) Then The BRS Live show and all the talk of BF sales has lifted the spirits ....hows that for a bump;)

It was the BRS live tank giveaway that started my shopping itch.

Good responses. I hadn't even thought of buying test kits on black friday... or salt of all things.

I'm waiting to see if their Hanna checkers are on sale black friday....other than that I usually don't shop at BRS because I've been able to find similar or in some cases the same product elsewhere for a much better price.

manly corals, but I am needing some additives and looking to try a few new ones out. I also need another frag frag and a ton of super glue

Salt, salt, and salt, did I mention salt
2 2-part containers
1 Apex unit
2-part supplies
Rox.08 carbon
Red sea a,b,c,d supplements

And whatever else I buy along the way.

And IF, I somehow have some money left, a apex dos system.

They're a lot more pricey on some items, and competetive on others. I shop every vendor I can find for the best deal. On black friday, it's gonna boil down to which one has the deepest discounts. I'll buy from multiple vendors to get the big ticket items at a good savings.

Exactly! This is what I do as well.

I've never bought salt on Black Friday. How good are the deals?

I find the deals are better thru out the year. I've picked up my last 3 buckets of Tropic Marin for under $55/bucket shipped. You can get some good deals from DFS when they have their 25% off flash sales.

Personally this time of year is about the family so I don't use it as a time to buy reef stuff for myself.

I don't have any family nearby except my wife. The rest of them are 2,000 miles away. They get greeting cards and gift cards. :D

I've never been at a point in life where I could afford to blow that much money all at once, on a hobby like this. I can now. We've both worked hard for 30yrs. Its time to enjoy it.

I was wanting to get an upgraded skimmer and an icecap 1k, but now thinking things are working, maybe just keep what works.

probably going to get salt, big thing of carbon and GFO. hoping the LFS has some deals on fish/CUC/inverts.. maybe a bigger frag rack since my goniopora doesn't want to play nice with anything near it
