Absolutely! Plus, they're delicious!Trochus are my favorite snails. They're one of the most ready to breed in captivity and they're great at algae control.
I need to get more of them. I heard they ate vermetid snails so I threw a handful in my display and never saw them again. Maybe three months later, it dawned on me that I had no more vermetid snails. I mean, the shells were still there but they stopped growing new ones and no more mucus nets were out. I guess they actually did what they're supposed to!And a couple of Bumblebees.
I have a snail that a friend gave me when he broke down his tank. No idea what it is, and I have no idea where he hangs out, but at night time that 3" across sucker comes out and knocks things over. He even inspects my return outlet sometimes, pinches most of it off, and shoots water out of the tank onto the floor. I got a video of him doing it the other night. He's a beast.I bought one, but it only lasted a week before I saw his empty shell. Money Cowrie. I have a Strawberry Conch, some Margaritas, some dwarf Ceriths, and some Nassarius.
Shaped like an Astrea kinda? But huger? I think I have one - forget what breed it is.I have a snail that a friend gave me when he broke down his tank. Bumblebees are usually only out at night. They stay tucked up in the rocks most of the day.I need to get more of them. Yeah it has the cone shape. Looks like it has some really dark and almost white parts. Let me see if I can find the video of it shooting out water and upload it to youtube.Shaped like an Astrea kinda? But huger? I think I have one - forget what breed it is.
