Black hornets

I would like to say they are exactly the same thing but I'm no zoa expert and don't want to get into trouble. In person they look exactly as the photo on zoaid.

don't need to be an expert to see that they are identical in every way......

i think the only difference is that one is called Aussie Orchid and the other Black Hornet...and of course the price...

I think some1 got a great deal on a rare zoa mini colony:tongue:

Well then don't tell Vivid they are rare cause they still have a few frags of them at the store last time I was there last week. I got mine a little cheaper than what they are selling now cause I got it just as they got it in and they weren't sure what they were.

Vivid sells what they call Aussie Orchids. They look very similar, if not the same, as these so called Black Hornets. I got three polyps of them a few weeks ago.

Aussie Orchids

Very very similar. they are very touchy though. i know most of kiens melted. then they regrew. the new ones are obviously captive grown. they seem to be more stable, than the original wild polyps.

I emailed vivid and they said that they still had a few. I decided to call them and when I do that they told me they had some but were letting them grow out. Funny thing is the guy called it a black hornet and then quickly said something else

I found these in the 5 dolla bin are they good? :xd: Frag on RIGHT on RH...

Wow, again..........Everybody saying how their awesome black hornets melted away.....Yet, when I tried to warn buyers that these were straight from the ocean off some rock that this seller probably bought for eight bucks. I got threatened and all posts removed. This seller is earning quite the reputation for supposibly awesome zoas and then they are just, ehhhhh....... and melt away. Figure it out people, this guy gets a rock for a couple dollars, get a couple rocks with so-so color, blast it with 20K, then photoshop. Chops the rock, gets a couple of his buddies to totally hype it up, gets some idea on how many people want it and then prices it. Sells a polyp for 10 times the price he paid for the entire rock. Sells 20 polyps at around $100 per polyp......and laughs all the way to the bank while your one polyp, ocean living polyp goes into shock and dies!

Rack me! For speaking the truth!

interesting...i still think they look cool!

i would rather pay 100 or more for a polyp i know will live..but ive never owned or heard to much about any b.h.'s so i cant say if they live good or bad

The most I would pay for it would be 15-20 a polyp because its unique thats it. It looks nothing like previous hornets anything these days with a ring and a alternating skirt is a hornet and of course people are gonna advertise it and the newest thing lol. I think the blue, purple, and red hornet especially the red hornet looks way better than this. The 1st thing people notice in my tank is my colony of red hornets the color is stunning.
