Blennies can you have multiple in one aquarium

I’m upgrading to a 90 gallon tank, I already have a lawnmower blenny and I’d like to add a tail spot and a Midas blenny, if added at the same time could I get away with 3 blennies in a 90 gallon? I also have a watchman goby that’s moving over when the 90 gallon is ready.
If it’s not advisable I can always keep the lawnmower blenny in the nano tank or one of the other blennies.
Anyone have 3 or more blennies in their aquarium?

I have two blennies in my tank (midas and a lawnmower) and there is absolutely no aggression between them. I'm guessing it's because they mostly stay in different parts of the tank. The midas mostly swims around the top of the water, while the lawnmower sticks to the rockwork and the glass.

I have a lawnmower blenny and would love an orange spot, I wonder how that would go.

My Midas is pretty chill, but he will get up in other fish's (and shrimp's) faces when they get too close to his rock, but won't bite unless bitten (only seen this once with flasher wrasse). He's definitely one of my favorite to watch.

He doesn't care about anyone in the water column a foot from his rock, and pretty much ignores the Molly Miller blenny in there.

I don't think I would have a Midas in less than a 3 foot tank, and I'm not sure how they do with other perching/barnacle blennies.

I think having different types-perching, open water and bottom feeder would result in the best luck, as well as different shapes and colors.

Sorry but I have no idea. I'm not sure if my two don't fight because they're not competing for the same food or if it's because of the personality of my fish and I just got lucky. I was nervous when adding the lawnmower ecspecially since the midas was already established and usually one of the more aggressive blennies. With the two you want eating the same food supply I'd be a little more worried about adding the second, but it often comes down to the individual fish.

Would have not thought that the Midas could be a tough little cookie. It's got a cute face and that happy yellow color. I happen to have the Midas, Blue Star Leopard Wrasse and Court Jester goby on a list to purchase from Dr Reef Quarantine fish. I have in the past QT my own fish but I feel lazy

I just Google it and maybe I'm wrong about the aggressiveness of the midas. For some reason I'd always thought they were one of the more aggressive blennies. I will say mine has never been that bad, when I first got him he would defend his spot that he perched on but even that doesn't happen too much anymore.

Midas are hit or miss. When aggressive they can be very aggressive. You can find many posts about this. Mine have always been varying degrees of aggressive but I have seen people with peaceful ones too!

Just added a 2.5" Midas Blenny to my 30L tank the other day and he was rather reserved at first, really holding down a specific piece of rock-work (which has persisted) and not swimming in the water column much. A few days in and he's gotten pretty comfortable leaving the rock to swim around...

Wow just read that thread. That saddens me since it has such a cute face but seems to be the devil in disguise. If that is their personality, I would have to pass since I am planning to add a Blue Star Leopard wrasse. I think the wrasse would get bullied.

I mean I would try one and just catch it if it doesn’t work out. Like I said, some are fine and others are monsters.

I have been tempted to try another even though I’ve gotten monsters in the past. They certainly are cool looking.

I added a Pictus (White-lined) blenny to my 80 gallon with an established Lawnmower a couple months ago. There’s been a bit of territorial chasing from the lawnmower, but he gets outsmarted every time!

If you introduce all three blennies to the upgraded tank simultaneously, you should be fine. I’d probably introduce the algae blennies on opposite sides of the tank.

I’ve had a Midas for two years now and it’s never been a problem with any other fish. He was introduced last so not sure if they made a difference.

I have a lawnmower and a poison fang blenny and they get along just fine my tangs don't like my lawnmower blenny though dont know why

Ive got a fang blenny (who was a hitch hiker with a Ningaloo clam i got) so that was a real surprise I'm a bit nervous about adding another blenny in my tank though i do want one just because this one gave me a bite and drew blood when i added the clam into the tank (didn't even know he was there!) but he is all over the 2.4m of the tank all the time as a active little dart) so i don't think he will be happy with any blenny friends in there.

I've had several Midas Blennys over the years and I've never witnessed one ever show any signs of aggression to another fish/invert. I don't doubt that some have had one that was aggressive, but I don't think that is the case normally.

My Molly Miller Blenny nips at hermits all the time.

And my Midas grabbed and threw a hermit off HIS rock.
