i recently added a blenny into my nuvo 40. i have 2 clownfish, firefish, wrasse, and a goby. All the fish have been doing great but when i added the blenny a couple days ago he seems to always go after my larger clownfish. The clownfish minds her own and does not bother any of the fish and doesn’t even bite the blenny back!! Not sure what i should do. are they just trying to establish dominance? HELP!!!

Looks like they are both after that same bit of real estate if your bothered by the aggression moving those rocks around may help or a full rescape of the tank may fix the problem

If you can't do this, try turning off the lights completely for a while...maybe 2 or 3 days. In addition you can try to catch the blenny with a trap, put him in an acclimation tank for a while and re-release them into the tank.

Another option is to get an anemone and the clown will host in the anemone and then usually wont get bothered by other fish fighting for territory.

he has a cave that he stays in non stop but then comes out just to pick on him and it’s on the other side of the tank!

thank you i will try this! i have a toadstool and hammer and the clowns seems so show no signs of hosting. they sleep in the back corner on the glass on the other side of the tank than the blenny.

Clowns act really weird and sleep all over the tank if they don't have an actual nem to host in. I've never gotten a successful host inside a toadstool or hammer :-/
