When I have situation like this I often target deed the smaller one to keep them about the same. Very nice color.
Funny thing is, it used to be the opposite, blue was way smaller and the other one dominated. Then over time roles reversed. Think part of the issue is aiptasia stinging the smaller one
Beautiful anemone! Got anything being hosted by it?
Thank you. Yes, there’s a pair of Ocellaris hiding there

I've got all of my LFS's looking for one of these for months with no luck. May I ask where you found it? Beautiful nem!

Blue one was from a guy who was importing Gigs for a while. Blues are harder to come across but your best bet would be trying to source one through a wholesaler or someone with import license. Or find a hobbyist with one and make them an offer lol

The problem is that at a wholesale level most of these are just labeled as "carpet anemone" and is usually a haddoni when it arrives. To further complicate the issue, most gigs in bad shape (which is typical during export) look a lot like haddoni, so they're hard to ID.

That’s true. There used to be a few exporters from Thailand/Singapore that always had nice Gig selection, not even sure on the laws/regulations exporting from there these days

My LFS gets most of their mags, LTA's, sebae's, from 'Sea Dwelling Creatures' wholesaler out in California. This is where most of my Magnifica have come from. They have been checking Sea Dwelling for a couple of months with no luck on Gigantea. A few nice Haddoni though, bug I'm not interested in those.

Someone is selling a Gig on eBay. A bit over priced for the coloring, imo. Unless it has been treated, then the price would be a little more justified.

This site has a few blue giganteas available.

I wouldn’t.

He only lists stock that he can potentially find at wholesalers in the LA area. You pay him upfront and who knows when or if he’ll be able to find what you’re looking for.

Had no idea he did business like that. Good to know.

Yep, I was taken by his stock list a couple years ago. He’s actually quite pleasant on email, but after months of back and forth, I had to ask for a refund.

The only person who reliably supplied gigs (and healthy, treated ones too) was @Asagi at BlueKai, but he seems to have shut down. My blue and green gigs from him started out at 2” and are probably 11-12” now!
