Has anyone successfully kept a school of blue green chromis or do you always end up with one?

In my flat (96"x48"x14") I was able to keep 25 of them with no issues for 2 years until I sold them off. But in my 150g I started with 7 and after 3 years have 3. So it'll be hit or miss depending on how much you feed and how much room you have.

I have five currently in quarantine. Lost two to picking on the smallest members, replaced them with three, and now am having fun battling a uronema outbreak. If I ever get the darn things TO the display tank I'll let you know! :(

They appreciate a constant food supply. They love chasing food, an occasional direct current with floating debris is good in making them busy (less fighting). Mine seems to be a good citizens, they are afraid of my anthias (big dominant male).

120 gal, started w 11. Still have 9, for about 9 months. To be honest. Having a couple cool tangs and a lot of stick, the chomis's really make the tank!!!

Had 6 in a 45g tank and 6 in a 17g tank for around 2-3 months, both groups did fantastically. Combined them into one group of 12 and quickly lost 3. The 9 remaining had done well for 4-5 months and healthy as could be. I feed the tanks 3-5x a day and both tanks have a dominant fish that would keep the shoal in check frequently.

I've had 8 in my Reefer 450 since I set my tank up back in October. All have done fine and are very fat and healthy. I feed my fish twice a day. I have heard of people saying you have to buy a bunch at a time to basically plan on 2-3 not making it, but I've never had this problem, I've had Chromis in every tank I've ever had, great schooling fish.

Following alone, I was pretty disappointed to find out they kill each other off.

We started with 5 of them 2 years ago, now have 2. They live in the 93 gallon cube.

I have 3 in my 105g for now almost 2 years however for the last 6 months or so one has definitely hasn't grown much like the other two and looks more like the rut of the bunch

I had 7 in my 240 for 6-7 years. Started with 9. I finally got tired of the aggression when spawning time rolled around.

I bought 8 for my 125 and they were tiny, I had to fish them out because they were so small and moved them to my frag tank for 6 months till they got bigger.
They were moved back to the 125 where they were fine till I tore it down.

They now reside in my reefer 250 since Jan. they are all still alive but have become too aggressive and have to go..

I've had 7 in my 180 gal. for 5 years.
