Blue sky OR3 orphek or reefbrite XHO

Im in the fence between the blue sky or3 and the xho. I know the xho has a wider spread but if you remove lenses from OR3 it increases its spread a lot too.

Reefbrite is pretty much 450 blues

Or3s have multiple blue spectrums

Cost doesnt matter, i just want what would make my babies pop more.

Neither, Quanta Pro Meso Blue. Better spread, spectrum and more par. I did a direct comparison with all the lights mention here and the Quanta's outperformed both the Orpheks and xho's combined. I was using the OR2 blue plus bars, but there's not a huge difference between the OR3 and OR2.

I’m pairing them with a set of halides and loving them. This is just a quick mock up of them when I first got them.

I’m using two of the 3’ pros over my 125g temp tank while I’m rebooting my tank and they cover quite a lot of area.

I tried both on one tank, and thought the Reef Brites were closer to what I wanted.
I have them on both my tanks.

seconded, i see no reason to look at a lot of other light with these existing. Have two 6 foot bars with a 3rd on the way.

Reefbrites offer more BLUE pop but the orpheks which I use offer more colors and spectrums with 5wt diodes

No, I think there are 3 or 4 different wavelengths/diodes. There's a lot of violet in there too, which is nice. Orpheks have terrible blending with shallow mounting, so they need to be mounted about 12" to 14" to blend better, but you still see the different spectrums.

Xhos have two different diodes in them, you can see the difference as they ramp up/down I don’t know individual spectrums of the diodes….
I have both each paired with kessils on different tanks. I prefer the xhos for looks, spread, and dimmablity

I also run kessil tuna blue on full whites during peak.

Agree with you guys, love my quanta bars. I will probably go that route to light the entire tank when the big build comes. I already have two bars lighting up my 20 long exclusively and I love them.

I think the blue plus is too blue and washes out pictures and fish coloration.

The blue sky has more teal and uv bulbs I think
