Blue Throat Triggers - Do they mess up sand?

I have Tropic Eden Reef Flake sand.

For those of you who have a Blue Throat Trigger or a pair of them, how are they with your sand?

I really don’t want something that behaves like a sand sifter.

From what I understand triggers are more known for messing with your rockscape rather than sand.

These particular ones are supposed to be super mellow and I haven’t read any experiences of significant rock re-arrangement.

Oh I’m not trying to insinuate that blue throats will definitely mess with the rocks. Just that triggers as a whole have sometimes been known to do so rather than sifting sand

My Blue Throat stays in the upper 1/2 of the reef. He doesn't really go near the sand except when he decides to go hide in a cave way too small for him.

I have a blue throat and he doesn't mess with anything in my tank. His very mild, even though he is the biggest fish in the tank. He only goes to the sand to grab food that hits the bottom.

As far as the males go, do they retain their color without another trigger?

I’ve read another male is what will keep their coloration.

Would a female bring out the color in a male or only another male?

Lol... Start at about 21 mins. in the video. You might have to soak the tube in vinegar. I'm keeping my Bubble King. :) He doesn't know how to get in it either! Thought I was watching @2una (Red Sea main pump!) when he started with the fast hands lol! Why would soaking the tube in vinager...

My male has very good color, not sure if it would be more significant with a female in the tank. My tank is really too small for male, having two, I would really have problems.

Only sand issue is when they made their "bed" below and between some rocks. Moved all the sand out. Occasionally they clean the area if sand that got into their home, but it's not often nor bad.
Great fish, just pull the "trigger" and get one!

I've never had an issue with mine, he would like to hide in the rock caves more than anything when lights are out
