I have a 32g Biocube and I upgraded the lights with Steve's led's with the Bluefish controller. We lost power a few days ago and it will be out till at least tomorrow night. System is running on a generator just fine but I can't seem to be able to turn the lights on. My bluefish app says its offline. I have cell service just no wifi. The bluetooth should still work. Can anyone help?

...Above my pay grade..

Mine too...I know nothing about the Bluefish. But my gut tells me it's internet related but that's merely a guess. Do you still have internet access during the power outage?

it is wifi operated, which stinks in a power outage.

Only via cell phone.

the downside to the bluefish is that the settings are stored online and not locally on the board itself. so no wifi, no worky.

It sounds like my guess may have been right. Score one for the blind squirrel...lol.

Wishing now I wouldn't of "upgraded".
It's actually a very cool little controller. Part of the problem is it mimics the weather of the location you've chosen in real time. It pulls that information from the web. If it doesnt have access to the web it doesn't know what to do with your lights :)

correct. however, i have mine set up fully custom for color intensity and times. so even the mini is very versatile.... unless the power goes out.

Also, I would say as long as you have flow and a heater, the tank will be fine until the interwebs comes back on :)

+1. Worse case, just plug the lights directly in to a power strip fed by the generator, bypassing the controller until you get juice back. This assumes your lights work (at least on and off) without a controller of course.

i don’t know if there’s a way to bypass the controller and if you could, the lights could be blindingly bright!

Quick question: The aquarium systems are running on a generator. Do you have no WiFi, no Internet, or neither? If your router has power (WiFi is therefore on), but your internet service is down, you may still be able to control your tank through a local connection on your home network. I have no experience with this particular controller, but that's how it works with Apex Fusion (web-based) and Apex Local (in-home).

Everything is down except for what's plugged into the generator.
