Borgies 40 Breeder!

Hello my fellow hobbyists! Going to be starting a new thread of my current build! Current own the 29gallon biocube and have that thread posted already. So have some background now for the plan and equipment I have and what I still need to purchase! Going to be doing an oversized stand that I'm doing myself will have it 36 inches high by 40 inches long by 22 inches wide. Will be making a shelf above the sump to plug in my power cords and future Apex! I will upload some pictures tonight when I get home doing this post at work currently lol. Well here is the list so far!
Equipment I have:
40 gallon breeder
Aqueon proflex model 2 sump
Eco 633 return pump
Glass holes 700gph full kit
BRS 4 stage rodi plus unit
Some sweet LEDs to mount in the stand for extra light
Equipment I still need:
My 160watt maxspect razor 16k
300 watt heater either finnex or eheim?
Rock and sand
Light for the refugium any ideas?
The caribsea ark kit
Salt mix
BRS dual reactor for gfo and carbon
Tunze 6045
Maxijet 1200 to put in chamber one of the sump

Sounds awsome!! For my 40 I am going with the finnex heater because I ordered a Jager and it didnt work so just went with a different titanium heater. For your refugium maybe one of the small coralife fixtures? Otherwise from ive seen almost any light will work well. Cant wait to see it come together!!

So I got my new toy in the mail last night and got it all hooked up and made 2 storage containers one for the rodi and one for salt mix!

Radion Pro would be my choice in LEDs, But I hear OceanRevives LED lights are Awsome as well and their a lot cheapier.

This was my favorite purchase for the new build! its amazing to have water when i need it and know exactly how clean it is! and for my fuge light i have narrowed it down to using the Finnex Fugeray planted 12" start with just one and if i need another will get it! Going to be building my stand for the new tank tomorrow and i get my leds for inside the cabinet on monday so hopefully will get some new pictures updated! I have been having a really hard time deciding what equipment i want to buy and im thinking about getting the BRS deluxe media reactor for GFO and carbon together and see if it works, if not ill grab an extra one. I also thinking about getting the BRS Bio-pellet reactor kit to hook into the system as well and see how that works. Also using the BRS 2 part system any thoughts and input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Few quick updates! got the stand almost done will be finishing it up this weekend, got my overflow box in yesterday and drilled and painted the tank also got my led lights that are going inside the cabinet. To do left is finish the stand and put the doors and trim then paint, get my refugium light, skimmer, heater, powerhead, sand rock and the ARK kit also plumb it all cant forget that now onto some updated pics that I have!

That drain hole looks pretty low or is it the pic? Is that your over flow box pictured?

That is the overflow box it's the 700gph kit. And yes it was drilled to low I tested it today and the water line is a bit under the trim. Really frustrated about that I needed to move it down from the lip so I could access the cover on the overflow now I have to get a piece of glass and seal that hole and drill another hole so my water level is better then will have to dremel off the lip of the trim so I can take that lid off. Wish I would have just done that in the first place but lesson learned

Thanks! Got a ton of work left to do. Just bought the PVC parts I need for my return going to do that tonight and a leak test. Hopefully be finishing the stand this weekend need to go get dome MDF!

So making some more progress! I drilled my overflow hole to low so had to cut a piece of acrylic and put it in the overflow box now athe water is right at the trim piece!! Yay!! got some more work done to the stand and added my led lights to it as well, now just working on the plumbing phase and what a pain it has been hopefully tackle that tomorrow and get the sides onto the stand! anyways here is some updated pics!

Got the plumbing all done and running a leak teset right now!! so far everything is working out perfect!! keeping my fingers crossed for the next 24 hours! getting really close to having the rest of my equipment so I can get this bad boy running!!! heres some more pics!
