BPC Flamethrower Growth Thread

Dang! Echo the sentiments above. Seems like tanks are going crazy right now. After you feel like you can talk about it  It would be very useful if you could share what you think might happened. I say if you can't be a light for people to follow, at least be a warning.

Sorry just trying to interject some humor into it.

I had lots of issues...it all started when my blue mille grew so fast that is almost was touching the front glass (keep in mind this was in my 30g tank that was absolutely brilliant - pic below)...so I had the brilliant idea to upgrade to a 40b...i chose the 40 breeder because I was still able to use the same light (aqua medic 250 watt pendant and retrofit T5s (2)) because the tank was the same length and it gave me what i needed, front to back depth...so I bought a new skimmer (SWC 150 BMK), a new sump (20g long), a 40b (AGA), and made a stand...once I had the stand made and the tank ready to go, I took my rocks/corals/fish/water and put them in a cooler and buckets overnight...after I moved the 30g out, I moved the 40b into its spot and put all new live sand in the tank (Carib Sea fiji pink) along with natural seawater for the tank, sump, etc...I ran the new system overnight so that the sand would settle out and I put aerators and pumps in the coolers/buckets...overnight, my pump in the cooler feel off the wall and ending up blowing right on my hawkins enchinata...the tissue blew off a small portion of the colony...i was obviously not happy...anyways, in the morning, I added all of the corals/rocks/fish into the new system...two of my fish died overnight in the cooler (a baby harlequin tusk that was about 2 inches long and a female lyretail anthias)...once everything was in the new system, I was able to relax finally...well ever since then i have not been able to figure out what is going on and teh tank has been in a downhill spiral ever since...shortly after i started the new system, i went to a 6 bulb ATI Sunpower...that isn't helping me figure things out since it's just another thing that i changed...to make a long story short, i don't know what happened, but i suspect it had something to do with the new sand...it has been over 4 months since it has been setup and i still can't figure it out...i'm now just going to quit dosing everything and just do weekly NSW water changes (since most of my corals ar gone) to settle out the tank...i will keep y'all posted
