I’m not sure, I got it about 6 months ago, maybe 4 months ago. Is the v2 like brand new ?

Not sure how new it is. Original has yellow and orange filters. The v2 yellow and orange are combined

Add 4 tblspns of Citric Acid to 1 quart of RODI water and then i just use it to scrub the things im cleaning. They sit in the bucket while i am working on the tank so the soak is not very long. For this new biocube this guy gave me it had some thicker coralline and other crusty's on it so i had soaked the whole tank in bleach water for a week and while it was clean it was not clear of the gunk so i added this concentration of the citric acid for about 3 hours and then it scrubbed right off with a brush.

Add grocery store sodium hydroxide to the solution until pH is 9 on api test strips
Refine solution through coffee filters until clear
Separately mix 70ml RODI with an Ounce of calcium chloride powder
Combine calcium chloride solution with lemon juice solution and boil
Pour boiled solution through coffee filter to get calcium citrate foam
Add sulfuric acid to the foam to cover it in a new cup and stir
Pour foam solution through coffee filter adding RODI to get all the foam through
Simmer solution to burn off RODI
Run through coffee filter one last time
bingo citric acid

Seems like a fair amount of lemons and work though.

I am thinking of the generic brand thats half the price. It looks like the same thing, but without the name brand printed on it. Looks like its also branded as a Bubble Magus.

I really dig the wifi powerstrip. I have it timing my fuge light, and alternating my powerheads. The Jeboas keep coming out of sync in alternating mode so i have them alternating every 3 hours on reef crest mode.
