Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Was at work and Apex sent alert 3:00 power went out again. Got the generator going and will feed fish.

All 4 BTAs moved on top of rock and look better then they have even no lights and very low circulation for 3 hours.
I got this lol

8 month old tank 7 months with BTA. No detectable NO3 or PO4 most of that time and still none. Should I rehome 3 BTA or keep them?
Why not trade them to lfs?

Please describe issue and type of tank
Im building a Nuvo 10. Other than some crushed coral and a piece or two of live rock, what in the world do i put in the back chambers?

@Musivski
Would that be best for the health of them?
That is why I am thinking of unloading 3. I don’t mind keeping them but I think I’m pushing my luck. I don’t know what I’m doing

@Crabby48 glad to hear everything is ok.

Everything was perfect. Fish was hiding and all coral had 0 polyp extension.

Well, as long as you keep parameters steady and they get fed at whatever schedule you feed, then id say keep it. They are awesome, i love nems.

As for the health of them, depends on your water quality to the lfs. If you see they are striving in your water quality, id keep them there.

However.... The tank de Hippie kid and Katrina might want one soon. Ya know a cube at that size is a lot of space for a nem :)

However, i am looking for a certain bta. Im hoping to find one. Not quite as colorful as yours which I'm jelly of.

This is one of the Black Widow BTA @Crabby48 and I saw at RAP.

I would also love an unusual one like this. Purple with green tips, almost the opposite of my current BTA.

Oh wow! You should get one for sure!

Amazing creatures.

All my BTA’s moved from top of rock to underside. Guess they went to the top at lights out then when lights on they took off. I am sett at 38% how am I overpowering corals. The BTA’s are in the back corner 4-6” off sand bed.

Others are using 60+ power and have LPS way higher then me on the same tank
