@dantimdad I hate using the mesh bags or pantyhose for carbon. Any thoughts on something reusable and durable that could be printed? I am thinking like a travel soap container design with a fine latticework. Say, 4x4x2” Something that allows good flow but holds activated carbon.

I guess I wonder how a 3D printer would perform on a porous design.

I have actually been trying to adapt a "cup in a cup" design that allows you to replace your filter sock with a cup and under the floss, there is another, finer mesh cup that holds carbon. It'll work for a couple weeks now and then the mesh starts to break down from pressure. I may have to make the mesh heavier and put layers of filter pad to hold the carbon but that kind of defeats the purpose.

Your box idea would work with larger carbon particles or the carbon stars.

I will have to do more research.

A 16 x 16 cm sieve. I designed it for my filament recycling. It has 3 x 3 mm holes.Needs a long time to print ;)

Print two. One slightly smaller so they fit inside each other and hold the carbon.

I will print this up and see if it works out.

Most people would be shocked to know the real story behind the Civil War and exactly how Lincoln felt. It has been romanticized for history.

That would be a conversation that would get one blocked on social media these days. It is interesting to hear the business behind the policies in history.
