Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Big thumbs up to citric acid! Here is before and after on 11 month old coraline buildup.

Dang! Would you mind posting exactly what you used and at what ratio?

It is Milliard food grade citric acid from Amazon. I used about half to 3/4 gallon rodi water with 2/3 of a cup citric acid. I tested how long to soak and 30 minutes seems to do it with a little scrubbing. For those who work with their hands and cant seem to get that thick callus clean, this solution works extremely well.

Thanks. Unfortunately my jebao quit last week and I'm stuck using a $5 sunsun from Amazon until I can order a gyre this week. But I'll definitely remember this for the future.

I have had good luck with my cheapo-jeboas. Both are almost a year old and never had a problem. They wont wifi sync, but thats because of my wifi powerstrip. I cant see spending ecotech $ when these work so well. Maybe when the kids are grown and we have more disposable income.

Mine was about 2.5 years old. They're kinda hit and miss. The other one I had quit after 6 months. I found some open box icecap gyre 1K for about $100 so I just decided to try it this time. I'm sure glad I bought a 4 pack of the sunsuns for back-up and mixing saltwater though. Lol

I always grab used powerheads when they are cheap.

I am looking at getting a gyre as well. I think having the gyre going with the 2 jeboas randomly pulsing from the back wall would make the Euphyllia move nicely.
The CPs from Jebao are very good! I have compared them side by side.

That is exactly what I was looking at, and with some of the negative reviews of the brand names, I think $100 is worth trying the jebao

Yes!!! Seriously. I doubt I'd ever get an icekap again after seeing both.
