Is theres a chance they give off a toxin similar to a leather maybe? Its been a while since I read up on them. Dont think id worry too much about it but im no expert by any stretch.99% sure it's a purple ribbon. It says they aren't ok for nano tanks...oops

I double dog dare ya.Hmmm... You're getting me interesting in a gorg now. I have plenty of extra nutrients for one, need something pretty to use them up.

That and being in a lid, they are a LOT closer to the water than the 12-18" some people run their LEDs to get spread and even color blending(I'm talking to you Ecotech, cough cough). You should be fine with SPS.
Are you suggesting that LEDs need to be higher up to get even color blending? Since I live far away from any LFS I have nothing to compare lighting with other than reading about them. I was considering Ecotech. The price has me concerned though. But I want my Birdsnest and stylophora to do well in my deep tank. And I want my lights to be inside my hood. Above my glass. I do not want my fish to be jumping out. And I do not want to buy new lights all the time. I want a lot I know. I have been enjoying reading this thread. You all are having a great time. ;Happy
I recently just finally stocked the fish in my large tank and want to start decorating it with nice corals. Trying not to kill them all. ;Shy
