Gotcha! I was constantly thinking my corals needed more light until recently. Killed a lot I am embarrassed to say. Now I start them down lower and MOVE them around when they start to not look good. They are just frags at this point. Do your Kessils overheat? My husband is leaning towards the new orbit marine LEDs. Since it is my tank though he is not pushing me though.

Thank you for the new insight. No sense buying more than I can use!

The Kessils have cooling fans much like a CPU inside a computer. If they get full of dust then yes they can overheat. They are designed well tho and they are barely warm while running.

The Current lights haven't been all that powerful in the past. They have a lot of really great features, and i'm looking at putting their new mood light background on my 35 cube. I'd do some research before purchasing.

I have the older light. Not bright and I rarely use the meal features. The newer ones are supposed to be better. Will check into them and the kessil. Not buying the two $800 ones now. Money better spent on shopping trips like the ones I have seen on here. If my hubby asks where the new corals came from I just bag my eyes at him and say, what that old thing?

Nice new coral and wow fav Xmas movie is hard probably home alone series one and two, and or Xmas vacation.

Depending on how skilled you are lol (current lights will grow anything (i have proof ). Everyone makes good led lights, sadly some of us or most of us don’t Have the same amount to spend etc. But current is about to release a new led more powerful than even the beasts (60 degree angle version).
@code4 do you have the 60 degree lens version if so they are equal in par to the Radion g4 anyway and not 800 dollars

I do the same thing to my girlfriend, but for some reason, I don't think it has the same effect... she just rolls her eyes.

She's really supportive tho. It's not really her thing but she likes watching the fish swim. She also said I can set up however many tanks I want.... I'm sure once I turn the living room into an aquarium to rival the local zoo... things may change.

I heard current had some new lights coming out. I know a girl locally that is a sales rep. kind of person for them.

The new(not released yet) rimless star fire freshwater tanks they have with the serene set up are very nice.

Lol, they always say we can until we do. I have a 140 and a 65 in my living room. They take up a lot of real estate.

And now I feel like watching Christmas movies.
