Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

You know your old when you also remember reel to reel and 8 tracks.
I had to stop for a minute to ponder what GNR meant. Ha. My music was way before them. Curmudgeon, I am.

Reel to Reel was awesome, if you had a good machine. Some of them were not cheap! 8 track sucked. I still have a functioning 8 track player in my 79 Corvette. Sounds like crap still. Hell, I remember 4 track stereo.

I have heard of the 4 track but never seen or heard one in person. But half the time I don't remember what happened yesterday. :D

A 12" reel to reel back in the 70s / 80s was a big deal. I had a pharmacist friend that splurged and bought a 12" Teac and a pair of Bose 901 speakers. It was awesome! Probably contributed to my hearing loss. Ha!

That was back in the 60s. I never had one, but some friends did.

My customer has a closet ull of 8 tracks.

I like the 60-70s music can't stand the stuff off today. Jimi Hendrix is my favorite
Awesome! I was listening to Jimi just last night. I grew up on rock and roll, as rock itself was being born. My parents had me when they were 18 and we all grew up together listening to rock and roll from the mid 50s on.

I bet more than half of them are just one play away from being a pile of tape jammed inside the player. I used to repair 8 track tapes for my high school buddies. They were not made of the greatest materials.

I have 2 - 300 albums, when I was getting divorced I was so skint (poor) I had to sell my Lynn Sondek LP 12 turntable, I did shed a tear when I shipped it, the sound was so pure I can't face playing my vinyl now.
8 track in my uncle's car was my first taste of music outside my dad's classical vinyl.
My daughter has always been around music, she is my 22 year old little hippy chic, cooler than a snowman's fart and has a very diverse taste in music!
Analogue has soul?! ;)

I love all music. All forms of play. They each have their own charm. I got to use reel to reel as a kid, but never owned one.
I quit listening to the radio about the time that true FM radio turned into stereo AM radio. If you are old enough to know what I am talking about, you are old like me. :)

Speaking of old radio, I have this from a local radio station that used to publish weekly top 40 lists at the MUSIC STORES (remember those?). June 1969!

Must been like the cars in the 70s
Only the early 70s. The government killed off the muscle car with pollution control that was forced on auto makers, who had not quite engineered a way to combine performance with fewer emissions. 1974 was about the end of it. I had a 1974 Pontiac Trans-Am with a 455 engine and no catalytic converter. 1975 everything had the converters and the muscle car was dead.

He has never heard the crackle of a record or the sound the needle makes when you find a groove. I know he will love it the way I do.

Love this.

@Fin nice car I bet you wish you still had it

@Katrina sorry about the SPS.
Yeah, you’re right about that. Especially since I only paid $5,500 for it brand new. That car today would likely be worth 6 times that, or more. :-(
