Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

I run triton. Almost a year in and it’s fine. My LFS icp is near on point. I’m planning on doing a icp from triton. Also triton doesn’t mean water changes. My first icp was through them and it told me 5 water changes of 15%.
Honestly not afraid of it.
Just seems like more numbers to chase.

What would you use?
If the pump you have is quiet, given its rated volume, I would use it. I hear good things about sicce pumps.

But I really like my 4000. Dead quiet and really loves the water efficiently. Low power draw

lemme revise what ive said earlier, triton method doesnt mean NO WATER CHANGES. Water Changes are necessary when keeping a reef. Triton method actually advises you do a water change sometimes. Heres a pic of my triton method sump: Now i will say that triton doesnt recommend a DSB in sump but i run one becasue well.... im an idiot.

My Jebao DP-2 has worked great. It is very easy to use.

my DP-4 Malfunctioned.... i went through two. the second one happened within a month.

I’m a jeabo 5000 in the 55 3/4 up. Sometimes more.

4000 or 5000 , whatever is cheaper.
Amazon and eBay has odd pricing.
My two dosers , dp2 & dp3 were the same price.
Sicce has dc as well, no idea of the price.

IMO only reason to go variable dc is the overflow rating question, and it’s a good tweak for any unknown reasons.

Ok. I was wondering...I knew you could use miracle mud, but never seen sand in one.
ye, i run it with a bunch of snails and inverts that get rotated in the tank. of course stress free....
