I have a slab. The main water line busted 3 years ago. I cheated and ran Pex up the garage wall into the attic. Every room in the house except one would have had to be jackhammered otherwise.

But on the flip side, especially with this hobby there are some big upsides to a slab. I’m considering a 300 gallon down the road and I have no concern of the floor strength.

Yea, I'd have to get some screw jacks to support the weight on the joists when I go bigger.

Going that big, however big it may be, you may want to sister in some additional support on the joists too.

Here is the 55 version of what I got for my 40b. It seems very study, and you can’t beat the price. Just an option if you don’t wanna get overly handy lol.
